Social Group
This group is most appropriate for elementary aged students who can make their wants and needs known but struggle to maintain reciprocal conversations, initiate social interactions and form meaningful friendships.

Goals:
-Respond to and initiate greetings with staff and peers
- Make and respond to requests from peers
-Maintain attention in a social setting for extended periods of time
-Ask on topic questions and make comments to keep a conversation going
-Indicate likes/dislikes
-Read non-verbal cues
- Demonstrate and respond to specific emotions
- Solve small problems independently
- Utilize free time appropriately
- Invite friends to play and join in an existing activity
- Tolerate waiting, winning and losing 

Groups include typical peer models when available

Play Groups

This is a structured play group for students who do not yet possess the pre-requisite skills for them to benefit from social group.
Play groups are comprised of a lower staff-student ratio allowing for more individualized attention and support as we work to build a specific skill set.

Goals:
- look when name is called by staff and peers
- respond to greetings
- develop a leisure skill repertoire
- use play materials as they are designed
- engage in simple turn taking games with staff and peers
- share items with peers when asked
- maintain attention on a play situation for extended periods of time
Class Schedule:

Mondays: 6:00 - 7:30 

Wednesdays: 6:00 - 7:30 

Thursdays: 6:00 - 7:30

Saturdays: 11:30 - 1:00 
                1:30 - 2:30
